Splatoon 3 plot

Splatoon 3’s thrilling storyline. Grab your inkpot and get ready to explore the mysterious underground city of Alterna, battle mutated Octarian enemies, and uncover the truth behind the stolen Great Zapfish.

Our adventure begins with the aged squid Craig Cuttlefish, leading us into a dangerous crater covered in deadly furry ooze. It was here that we were recruited by Cuttlefish as Agent 3 of the new Squidmouth Jet Squad, along with our trusty salmon sidekick “Buddy”. Little Buddy proved invaluable as he devoured and destroyed parts of the dangerous ooze, allowing us to venture deeper into the crater.

In the depths, we meet the enemies of Octaria, who have undergone a special mutation and are now covered in fur. Squid suspects they stole Sprattsville’s source of energy, the Big Zapfish. Our mission becomes clear: we must face these furry Octans and recover the stolen Zapfish.

After a fierce battle with Octarian leader DJ Octavio, the ground beneath our feet collapsed, trapping Squid and Agent 3 among the remnants of Alterna. Here we are reunited with Carly, Mary, and the Captain, the main characters from the first game. To our dismay, we discovered that the Cuttlefish was missing and that the dungeon had been turned into an Octan base.

In Alterna, we meet the idol group Deep Cut who are also looking for treasure in the city. Suspicion and rivalry arise as we are continually directed towards the members of Deep Cut, fighting for supposedly valuable loot. However, it soon becomes apparent that these treasures are nothing but junk, and our true enemy reveals himself.

Mr. Grizz is the CEO of Grizzco and the organizer of the Salmon Run, responsible for kidnapping the cuttlefish, stealing the Big Zapfish, and gathering the Octarian army. His grand plan involves using Fuzzy Ooze to transform life into mammals, aiming to restore mammals’ dominance on Earth. This destructive plan threatens all other forms of life.

As we overcome challenges and defeat each member of Deep Cut, it’s clear that their intentions are noble. Their intention is to sell these treasures for charity. United against a common enemy, we team up with Deep Cut to take on Mr. Grizz.

We use these treasures to build a cutting device and travel to Altena’s central rocket, where the squid is imprisoned. However, a heartbreaking sight awaits as Mr. Grizzi reveals his plan to detonate the rocket, engulfing the entire planet in fuzzy ooze and sacrificing all but mammalian life to his vision .

In an unexpected moment of heroism, just as Mr. Grizzi launches his rocket, the captain rehydrates the cuttlefish with his tears. With the help of DJ Octavio and Little Buddy (who transforms into a giant coho salmon known as “Hugefry”), we have an epic battle with Mr. Grizzly, and ultimately destroyed the rocket.

Agent 3, friends and Octavio return to Earth in triumph with the big Zapfish. Meanwhile, Mr. Grizz floats in space, his menacing plans foiled. As the end credits roll, there’s a sense of triumph in the air, but Splatoon 3’s ink-filled adventure has only just begun.

Now, with the great Zapfish restored, we can continue our splattering adventures in Sprattsville, knowing that we have defeated the forces of darkness and protected the diverse life of the world we call home.
