Sonic Superstar

Sonic Superstar is a new game released in 2023 for multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. It brings back the classic side-scrolling style of Sonic games from the 1990s. You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, or Amy to defeat bad guys like Dr. Eggman. You can collect some special items called “Chaos Emeralds”.

The head of Sonic Team wanted to update the old Sonic style in this game. They teamed up with a studio called Arzest, which is led by one of Sonic’s creators. This game is special because it’s the first time the creator has made a Sonic game since 1998. They wanted to make a game that felt like the old Sonic games, but with some new, exciting features. The game will be released on October 17, 2023.

Sonic Superstar Gameplay

“Sonic Superstars” is a video game that lets you play as characters like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy. You have to go through different levels to stop the evil Dr. Eggman. Each character has special abilities. For example, Sonic can sprint after jumping, Tails can fly, Knuckles can slide and climb, and Amy attacks with a hammer and can jump twice. There’s also a new character you can unlock called Trip.

You’ll explore 12 areas, each with their own challenges, such as springs, loops and rings, that affect your health. Some areas have special features, such as a jungle where you can swing on vines, or a futuristic area where you transform into another creature. Each area has different parts called behaviors. At the end of each act, you’ll face a boss that must be defeated.

Between levels you’ll be in a 2D hub world where you can choose where to go next and change your character. The entire game takes about 4 hours to complete for one character and about 15 hours for all characters.

In special stages, you can gain powerful abilities and collect Chaos Emeralds. The stages are like mazes or swinging challenges. Collecting all seven emeralds will make your character super powerful.

You can play with friends, up to four players, which is new for the series. There is also a player versus player mode where you can create bots to participate in different challenges such as tournaments and battles. You can play with others online or locally.
