Preface: Learning the Basics

The game starts with a prologue, which serves as a tutorial. You’ll learn combat mechanics, including light and heavy attacks, combos, and magical abilities. After fending off shadows and fighting bosses, you gain magical powers. Use these powers to defeat enemies and complete the prologue, returning to your sister to complete this initial mission.

Story Mission: Find some mutton and herbs for Popola

In the first true story mission, your character’s sister Yuna falls ill. Head to the library to get the quest from Popola. Your task is to collect mutton and buy medicinal materials. Explore the northern plains, defeat the shadows, collect the mutton from the sheep, and return to the village. Purchase the herb from the item shopkeeper and give it to Popola to complete the quest.

Story Mission: Killing Shadows by Beihara Bridge

Return to Popola’s office to accept your next objective: destroy the shadows in the northern plains. Save it in your mailbox before you go. Defeat the shadows across the broken bridge and collect more mutton on the way back. Talk to Popola again, then check on Yuna at home.

Story Mission: Search for Yuna in the Lost Temple

Use the eastern path to reach the Lost Temple. Obtain the Eastern Route Map and Yuna’s Ribbon before entering. Explore the interior of the shrine, defeat shadows and solve puzzles. Make your way through the floors, defeat bosses, and gain new magical abilities. Rescue Yuna and return to the village.

Story Mission: Visiting the Eyrie for the First Time

After returning from the Lost Temple, talk to Devola and then Popola. They will take you to visit the Eagle’s Nest Village. Alternatively, purchase an Eyrie Village map before heading there. Travel across the northern plains, avoiding the powerful boar, to reach the Eyrie Village. Talk to the Chief, fight Kane, and trigger the next set of quests.

Story Mission: Obtain Shaman Fish from the Seashore

Visit Yuna and then Popola to accept the quest to obtain the Shaman Fish from the seashore. Or, buy the Lily Leaf Sword before you leave. Travel across the southern plains, rescue a guard, and reach the seaside. Purchase maps, fish for shaman fish, and complete additional quests. Deliver the fish, read the letter at the post office, then return to the village.

Optional missions and exploration

Throughout the main story, various side missions will appear to enhance your gaming experience. NPCs with speech bubbles offer these quests. While not necessary for the plot, completing them will reward you with coins and unlock additional content. Consider purchasing maps and items to facilitate your journey.
