In the Basement season 2 finale, chaos grips the world as the consequences of Terminal’s destruction unfold. Consumed by bloodlust, Dai ordered his fleet to destroy every world aligned with the Foundation. Surprisingly, however, this was all part of Hari Seldon’s plan. Hooper Marlowe’s wrist imprint held the key, causing hundreds of Imperial ships to explode, sacrificing the Spacers to save their species.

Creon predictably falls into the trap and engages in a brutal battle with Hobermallow that ultimately leads to Day’s death. Rose cleverly switches places with the Emperor, leaving Day frozen in space. Sacrifices have been made, and Demerzel is burdened with secrets and faced with the challenges of Rue and Dusk.

Dorn learns that Sareth is pregnant with his child. Brother Constant is found adrift in space and rescued by Sanctuary, which follows Harry’s plan and protects all residents of Terminus.

At Ignis, Gail and Harry recovered, but a possessed Josiah attacked Gail and Salvo sacrificed himself to save him. In a heartbreaking moment, Salvo kills Josiah and herself. Demerzel awakened a new version of his brother and revealed the First Light, planning to decipher it.
