Eternal Night gameplay
In Eternal Night, the combat style is like a hack-and-slash game. As you expertly dodge enemy attacks, time will slow down a bit, giving you a better chance of counterattacking. If you can land enough hits on an enemy quickly, you can perform combos that give you a stronger attack or finishing move.
When you perfectly attack an enemy or dodge, you fill up the elemental gauge. You can use part of this gauge to perform a powerful elemental punch attack, which can break enemy barriers if you succeed in a quick-time event. During battle, you can also spend SP (Special Points) to use unique abilities gained through other characters.
