Classic modes like “Kill Confirmed” and “Hardpoint” return, while a new mode called “Cutthroat” features three teams of three players. Ground War and War modes offer diverse gameplay on a variety of maps.
The game introduces a PvE Zombies mode developed by Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games, with an open world for up to 24 players, AI-controlled enemies, and objectives to complete. The mode combines elements of Warzone 2.0 and traditional zombie games, with a unique time-based challenge called Aetherstorm.
